Start-up BW Summit 2022

The Start-up BW Summit is the highlight event of Start-up BW - the start-up campaign of Baden-Württemberg.

At the Start-up BW Summit start-ups, accelerators and ecosystems, corporates and SMEs, VCs and business angels from Baden-Württemberg, Germany, Europe and the world will meet to pitch, network, exchange ideas and learn from each other.

In addition to exhibition areas for start-ups and start-up ecosystems, AI initiatives and corporates the Start-up BW Summit offers a VC Lounge for investment meetings as well as a pitch competition and a varied conference program with the participation of top politicians.

This year’s Start-up BW Summit is strongly focusing on artificial intelligence and will be organized in cooperation with the Tübingen AI Center, one of Germany's six national AI centers of excellence. It will take place at the Landesmesse Stuttgart.

Start-up BW is the official start-up campaign of Baden-Württemberg and represents a high-performance network of partners from a variety of regional and institutional backgrounds.

The Start-up BW Summit is the international showcase, event and network meeting for the campaign, for the scene, for start-ups, start-up stakeholders and start-up ecosystems. Around 200 selected technology-oriented start-ups from the B-to-B sector are given this summit the opportunity to present their start-up with an exhibition stand. The costs for the exhibition stand are largely funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor and Tourism Baden-Württemberg. The exhibiting start-up only has to pay a stand fee of 250 Euros (including VAT).

This year, the Start-up BW Summit 2022 is strongly focusing on artificial intelligence and will be organized in cooperation with the Tübingen AI Center, one of Germany's six national AI centers of excellence.

The application is divided into two phases:

Phase 1: Application deadline 23rd of May 2022

Phase 2: Application deadline 20th of June 2022

After each phase up to 100 start-ups will be selected by a panel of experts. Each selected start-up will receive its own exhibition stand at the Start-up BW Summit 2022! The result will be communicated by email within two weeks after the end of the respective application phase. Those who do not receive a direct acceptance in phase 1 will still have the chance to get their hands on an exhibition stand in the second phase.
